This ProMediaGear L-Bracket has been designed specifically for Nikon D800 with MB-D12 grip/battery pack.
The
L- Bracket has been machined from solid Aluminium T6061 block and black
anodized for scratch resistant finish. The main feature of this
L-Bracket is its two piece design; the vertical piece of the L-Bracket
can be extended to allow cable connection (cable connections are
also possible without extending)

I have opted for an L-Bracket (i.e. Nikon D800) for good support rather than a conventional Tripod Bottom Plate Mount prevalent in the Philippines. The Nikon D800 MB-D12 L-Bracket was purchased by a friend for me. The unit arrived today from ProMediaGear. I have assembled and installed it. I must say the workmanship is very good. The fit as well as the clearances provided are superb. Good work gentlemen. |

The only complaint I have is that in order to access the door on the camera I have to remove the L - Bracket. |

The L bracket for the D800 fit perfectly. No issues with quality or operating any of the camera's access ports. The bracket is sort of cool being two pieces and having the optional strap connector. Well thought out. Very light and easily as well made if not better than my other Kirk and RSS brackets. Cheaper too!
I like an L bracket for more than mounting my camera to a tripod. It serves as a mini roll cage for my camera body and helps protect it in use. I rig my sling straps with Acra Swiss clamps and so the L bracket becomes an superb quick disconnect point on the camera. I can take my camera off strap easy - top or side mounted.
This L bracket is a no brainer. I will be using one for the D600 if Pro Media Gear decides to make one. Good stuff. |

Could not be happier with the L bracket. Quality and finish are top notch. Communication with ProMedia was excellent. They were fast in responding to all of my questions.
