Nikon Mb 12 L bracket
The only complaint I have is that in order to access the door on the camera I have to remove the L - Bracket.

Recently purchased the two-piece L-Bracket for my new D800E and the fit and function is perfect. I was worried about the two piece design but it's proven to be rock solid in both horizontal and vertical orientation. As a bonus, my boomerang flash bracket attaches directly to it so no need for an additional plate. As usual, ProMediaGear comes through with a top quality product. Highly recommended.

Retired Engineer
I have opted for an L-Bracket (i.e. Nikon D800) for good support rather than a conventional Tripod Bottom Plate Mount prevalent in the Philippines. The Nikon D800 MB-D12 L-Bracket was purchased by a friend for me. The unit arrived today from ProMediaGear. I have assembled and installed it. I must say the workmanship is very good. The fit as well as the clearances provided are superb. Good work gentlemen.

The best L bracket
I chose this bracket over others for several reasons, and I have not been unhappy with the decision. The anti-rotation design is excellent. I like the fact that it protects the corners of the grip. The bracket is beautifully made and anodized. It is smooth and comfortable in the hand when holding the camera vertically. I prefer that it does not slide sideways away from the side of the camera. You tighten it once and leave it alone. The fit is perfect. I have no intention of ever removing it from the grip.

you can call me Ray
I got this one and a generic L plate. This one for the D800 confused me a bit on assembly and I called Betty at PMG who was very helpful. The 2 pieces can go together 2 different ways and I found it better to put the bottom on the camera first and then the side plate. They are VERY well made and durable. One tip with this one: there are 2 allen wrenches that are ALMOST the same size. make SURE you don't try using the smaller one in the bigger hole, you could strip the corners of the hexagonal hole. Maybe anodized color coding would help. I'll mark mine with a marker for ease of picking the right one especially in a hurry or in the dark. Keeping up with the wrenches is a bit of a chore, but I agree that it is a much better attachment method than the coin slot alternative. I will be using it for night photography tonight. These products are VERY well made and perform well once you get it all figured out and mounted. I knocked off one star just for the minor hassels.

This was a replacement L-bracket as a result of a camera theft....I loved the flash bracket and it's unique design made it a snap to go from landscape to portrait. What is more impressive is their commitment to support the product. I had an issue with the bracket related to a stripped thread and they replaced the bracket immediately, return shipping included. I was impressed and appreciative of their responsiveness. Great product + great support!

Lifelong photography enthusiast
The L-Bracket is everything ProMediaGear represents it to be--highly machined, tight tolerances, form fitting. Once fastened to the camera, it's rock-solid and assuring in its grip. I suppose there are one or two other brackets equally well made by others, but I wouldn't know because I've not owned any. Frankly, using the camera on a tripod without a bracket such as ProMedia's is just plain foolish. Save yourself the agony of seeing your equipment either loose on the tripod or worse, tumbling from it.

Just Great!
ProMediaGear did a great job with this well machined bracket. On my D12 it fits well and is rock solid. ***NOTE*** I placed a washer on the hex screw to keep the edges of the plate from digging in to the grip itself. When placed bare, the plate DID leave indentation marks on the grip.

I purchased the ProMediaGear PLNMBD12 L-bracket for my Nikon D800E. The product arrived securely packaged. It was easy to assemble and install. I have tried it on a variety of tripod/clamp combinations and it attaches securely every time. Have no fear using this bracket. I am looking forward to adding the Boomerang flash bracket to the l-plate.

Very Serious Enthusiast bordering on semi pro
The L bracket for the D800 fit perfectly. No issues with quality or operating any of the camera's access ports. The bracket is sort of cool being two pieces and having the optional strap connector. Well thought out. Very light and easily as well made if not better than my other Kirk and RSS brackets. Cheaper too! I like an L bracket for more than mounting my camera to a tripod. It serves as a mini roll cage for my camera body and helps protect it in use. I rig my sling straps with Acra Swiss clamps and so the L bracket becomes an superb quick disconnect point on the camera. I can take my camera off strap easy - top or side mounted. This L bracket is a no brainer. I will be using one for the D600 if Pro Media Gear decides to make one. Good stuff.
